Why Ride With Us?
We take riding very seriously, for a bunch of guys in lycra shorts and funny helmets. We’ve got twelve years of experience in the cycling industry, a third of which has been dedicated to cycle tour operations. That means that any bumps along the road have already been smoothed over because it’s a road we plan to travel for many years to come. That’s why we prioritise safety and security through employing skilled, trained and knowledgeable guides, back-up bundu-bashing 4×4 vehicles, 24/7 satellite surveillance and emergency evacuation support. We leave our egos at the door and tread with a little bit of caution; our efforts put the ‘A’ grade in Africa, but we’ve been around long enough to have a Plan B on hand at all times.
Initiatives
While we always have a Plan B, we are acutely aware that there is no Planet B. We take great care with our environmental initiatives and update them frequently to ensure that sustainable tourism remains at the forefront of our offering. We’ve alleviated single-use plastics on all of our trips and we’ve set up collection and recycling initiatives for children along our routes. We also donate equipment to those less fortunate in the hopes of propagating our love of cycling. We also like to think that Greta Thunberg gives us the thumbs up for the whole biking-while-travelling-and-saving-the-planet thing.
Our Playground
Southern Africa takes the globe and compresses it into a small slice of the continent. With Johannesburg as a base, a brief trip will have you walking with the desert elephants in Namibia, admiring the Big 5 in the Zambezi River Valley, exploring where the sky meets the sea in the beaches of Mozambique, gazing at the Cape leopard of the Cederberg and sipping a world-class glass of wine in Stellenbosch. Couple this with Southern African hospitality and you’ve got a winner.

Matt not only enjoys riding his bike but thrives doing so while sharing his knowledge about the bush. Having experience as a professional mountain bike team mechanic, there will always be spares and tools to fix any issues while out exploring the African bush.
Jared has many years of cycling experience and is truly at home in the African outdoors. He is extremely popular amongst guests because of his humour, laid back nature and people skills!
